Camps, tours and exchanges
We value the learning that comes from students challenging themselves with new experiences and environments.
Year level camps
Our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of challenging, enriching and fun experiences through our camps and tours program.
Year 7 camp
Year 7 students attend a three-day camp to Philip Island Adventure Resort at the start of Term 2. This experience is an important part of our Transition Program. It assists students to build strong peer and teacher connections.
Students participate in a range of fun and challenging cooperative activities that are designed to enhance teamwork, relationship building, communication and self-confidence.
Year 8 camp
Year 8 students attend a three-day, two-night, adventure camp at The Summit in Trafalgar. This camp will include rock climbing; high ropes; giant swing; abseiling and other activities encouraging the students to embrace teamwork and challenge.
Year 10 outback tour
Year 10 students have the opportunity to spend time in a remote indigenous community in Term 3. They visit Uluru, Kings Canyon and Kata Tjuta and on return, work with organisations on fundraising projects.
Ski camp
Students in Years 8-12 have the opportunity to take part in a ski trip to Mount Hotham in Term 3.
Cultural and language tours
We offer students in Years 8-12 the chance to experience the life and culture of other countries.
Students may find themselves in New Caledonia applying their French language skills; in Athens admiring the ancient ruins they studied in history and classics; in China on a cultural immersion trip, an intensive sports tour or music performance trip; in New York to explore art and design; or in Cambodia to participate in a community project.
Every year our Chinese language students travel to China as part of the Victorian Young Leaders to China Program, which offers an exceptional deep-immersion experience for Year 9 students.
International exchange
We organise student exchange opportunities to a variety of overseas locations. We have long-standing sister partner schools in a wide range of countries with a well-established support network. We also regularly host overseas students in Years 10, 11 and 12 in Melbourne, mainly from China, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand, as well as Italy and Germany.
